I am convinced that anyone can learn a new language.
My name’s Steve Kaufman, and I’m a polyglot. I speak 20 languages today, but it wasn’t always this way. In school, I studied French, got good grades — but I couldn’t really speak. It was just another subject, and I wasn’t truly engaged.
Everything changed when I discovered a better, more enjoyable way to learn: through reading and listening to real content. Not memorizing grammar rules or drilling vocab, but immersing myself in the language. My brain quickly got the memo that certain sounds and patterns were worth paying attention to — the same way we learn our first language as infants.
