Bio

Brandon Charles Boyd (born February 15, 1976, Los Angeles, California) is an American musician, visual artist, and author best known as the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Incubus, which he co-founded in Calabasas in 1991. The band achieved mainstream success with Make Yourself (1999) and Morning View (2001), cementing Boyd as one of the defining voices of early 2000s alternative rock. Beyond Incubus, he has released two solo albums and collaborated with producer Brendan O’Brien under the project Sons of the Sea. He is also an accomplished visual artist who spent several years focused on painting and fine art, and has authored three illustrated books combining personal writing with his artwork. He co-founded The Make Yourself Foundation in 2003, a nonprofit focused on youth empowerment and arts education.
