Carrie-Anne Moss is a Canadian-American actress born on August 21, 1967, in Burnaby, British Columbia. She rose to international fame playing Trinity in the Wachowskis’ groundbreaking sci-fi thriller The Matrix (1999), a role she reprised across three sequels, most recently in The Matrix Resurrections (2021). Beyond the franchise, she earned the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female for her role in Christopher Nolan’s Memento (2000) and a Canadian Genie Award for Snow Cake (2006). She further expanded her profile in television, portraying sharp-edged attorney Jeri Hogarth across multiple Marvel/Netflix series, most notably Jessica Jones (2015–2019). Off-screen, she is the founder of Annapurna Living, a mindfulness and wellness platform focused on women.
