Bio

Ludwig Emil Tomas Göransson (born September 1, 1984, Linköping, Sweden) is a composer, musician, and record producer widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s preeminent film composers of his generation. He trained at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm before moving to Los Angeles in 2007 to attend USC’s Film Scoring program, where he forged his defining creative partnership with director Ryan Coogler. He rose to global prominence through his scores for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his long-running collaboration with Donald Glover (Childish Gambino), before cementing his status with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer (2023). He is the recipient of three Academy Awards for Best Original Score — a rare distinction — along with six Grammys, two Primetime Emmys, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe.
